Crescent School was established in 1925 as an elementary school for grades one through six. Due to consolidation, Crescent School was closed in 1981. Between 1981 and 1986, the building was occupied by Walters State Community College. From 1986 until April 1999, the building was vacant.


On April 20, 1999, at a meeting of the Greeneville Mayor and Alderman, Crescent was purchased by Kent Bewley of Bewley Properties, Inc. On the morning of April 21, 1999, the flagpole was painted in preparation of an American Flag again flying at Crescent and the renovation began.


The renovation of Crescent School to an office complex by Bewley Properties, Inc. was completed July 1999.
